What is Intersleek 700?

Intersleek 700 is the industry benchmark in foul release technology specifically designed for deep sea, high activity scheduled ships.

Unlike antifoulings, Intersleek 700 does not rely on biocides to control fouling and provides an ultra smooth, slippery, low friction, hydrophobic surface onto which fouling organisms have difficulty settling. Any organisms which do settle, normally adhere only weakly and can usually be easily removed.

The superior smoothness of the Intersleek 700 system, compared to that of a typical (biocide containing) Self Polishing Copolymer (SPC) antifouling, decreases hull friction whilst the vessel is in motion potentially promoting enhanced fuel efficiency and speed.

Having excellent colour retention and being chemically durable there is no film degradation, polishing or other chemical change, allowing extended dry docking intervals.

The unique Intersleek 717 Linkcoat allows direct application of the Intersleek 700 system over existing biocide containing SPC antifouling in good condition, without the need for full blasting.
